Hello! My name is Kim. I live in Connecticut, USA. Forgive me I can not speak German. I am using a German translation program to write this text.

I'm happy to find this forum. I just purchased a GPZ EX305B. I am a beginning rider. This motorcycle has been perfect for me to learn on. But it has some mechanical issues. I'm worried about finding parts here in the US because there are not many here. First, the exhaust on my motorcycle rattles. It sounds like marbles in a tin can. The sound is irritating. I would like new exhaust pipes but can not find them here. I think the cans inside the pipes are causing the rattling noise. Second, eventually the clutch may need replacing eventually. I've been hard on the clutch as a new rider. Third, the belt is ok now but I may need a new belt soon. I hope some of you can share some advice on where to get these parts.

Here are pictures of me and my motorcycle. Some of the pictures are silly. I am trying to lean the motorcycle over as if I am racing. (see pictures below.)

Ich bin froh, dieses Forum zu finden. Ich kaufte nur einen GPZ EX305B. Ich bin Anfangsreiter. Dieses Motorrad ist ideal für mich gewesen, darauf zu lernen. Aber es hat einige mechanische Fragen. Ich werde um das Finden gesorgt, teilt hier in den U.S., weil es hier nicht viel gibt. Zuerst klappert der Auspuff auf meinem Motorrad. Es klingt wie Murmeln in einer Blechdose. Der Klang ist ärgerlich. Ich möchte neue Auspuffleitungen außer es, kann sie nicht hier finden. Ich denke die Dosen in die Leitungen, verursacht das klappernde Geräusch. Sekunde, schließlich braucht der Griff vielleicht das Ersetzen schließlich. Ich bin mit dem Griff als ein neuer Reiter streng gewesen. Dritter, der Gürtel ist jetzt ok, aber ich brauche vielleicht bald einen neuen Gürtel. Ich hoffe, daß einiges von Ihnen darauf irgendeinen Rat teilen kann, wo diese Teile zu bekommen ist.

Dies ist ich. Ich habe meine Lizenz noch nicht. Aber ich werde im Oktober eine Klasse nehmen. Dann werde ich die Prüfung nehmen, um meine Lizenz zu bekommen.

Ich mag Deutschland. Ich brachte deutsche Sprachklassen in College. Ich sollte mehr Aufmerksamkeit bezahlt haben! Ha! Ha!
Ich würde irgendeinen Tag Deutschland gern besuchen. Meine Lieblingsart von Musik ist schweres Metall. Mein Favorit ist Eiserne Maid. Irgendwann werde ich nach Deutschland für das Wacken Metallfest fahren. musik

Hi Kim
before doing any harm to your bike by means of cutting tools you should simply check the clamps of the interference tube connecting both head pipes / mufflers to each other. If these clamps are loose the system rattles badly.
The spare part situation in Europe is not too bad - donor vehicles are available from 100 - 300 (European) bugs. However, the belt is somewhat pain in the as - horrible prices. Would be nice to know what the dream prices for this item are in the US.
As a first try out you should check for stuff at ebay. If you can get an alternator (static coil package), a drive belt and a set of carburettors for little money you will have already a comfortable cushion to rest on. As a next step towards everlasting mobility you should watch out for a conversion to chain drive - may be JT sprocket can help you.
As to the German BEER:
forget about this tourist stuff ! its donkey piss ! Try to keep in mind the following brands:
KARLSBERG
BITBURGER
BECKS
JEVER

I didn't think about checking the mounting brackets on the mufflers. Thanks for the tip. Exhaust pipes are expensive to replace. I found a two-in-one exhaust in chrome that would fit but I think it would look ugly. Thanks!

Belts over here cost at least $250 US dollars. Expensive.

Cosmetically my bike is ok. The paint has oxidized or has peeled away in spots. Both the side covers are cracked and discolored. I can't find white and blue side covers anywhere. I wonder if they can be repaired somehow?

Ich dachte nicht darüber nach, die Einbauklammern auf den Auspufftöpfen zu kontrollieren. Dank für die Spitze. Auspuffleitungen sind teuer, zu ersetzen. Ich fand einen zwei in Chrom, das passen würde, in einem Auspuff, aber ich glaube, daß es häßlich aussehen würde. Dank!

Gürtel kosteten wenigstens $250 AMERIKANISCHE Dollar hier. Teuer.

Kosmetisch ist mein Fahrrad ok. Die Farbe hat oxydiert oder hat sich weg in Stellen geschält. Beiden Seitendecken werden gebrochen und werden verfärbt. Ich kann kein Weiß finden und blau Seiten deckt irgendwo. Frage ich mich, ob sie irgendwie repariert werden können?

if there's no market for used parts in U.S., try to find parts at a German dealer; search the internet for "Gebrauchte Motorradteile". Sorry, we're not allowed to place any links to dealers here, but if your German is sufficient, you can step through the pages and try to find your needed parts. One can find used exhausters, belts, side covers and other stuff there. I hope that shipping to U.S. is possible too.
The clutch should be available at a spare parts dealer for motorcycles, I think there are ones in your country.

I would advice to change form belt to chain-drive
The spare-belt You can get from Your Kwak-dealer is minium 10 years old! that was the last production day and Kwak put them on spareparts store in production-time.
Unfortunately the belt was produced at http://www.bando.de exclusively for Kwak and is copyrighted Exclamation

so there can't be a rebuild spare-belt.
Even if there would be one, the price would be even due to the expensive kevlar-string.

Therefore it would be better to get a chain-kit with chain and both sprocket and the fixing-plate for the front-sprocket. These are rebuild ones and not very expensive, I've seen these kits here on european market for about 100€.
